Who we are

ABOUT US

PPE 4 Community CIC is a community organisation which will produce and donate hundreds of PPE facemasks and items to vulnerable elderly people, and front line care workers in the Stoke-On-Trent region. We are proudly funded by The Community Foundation for Staffordshire.

our aims & objectives

a

To manufacture 2 types of PPE Facemasks to be donated to vulnerable elderly people in the community. i) Plastic multi-use face mask with HEPA Filter inserts ii) Linen washable clinical facemasks

b

To save lives during the COVID-19 pandemic by donating PPE face masks to vulnerable elderly people in their care homes.

c

To support the fight against infection and transmission of COVID-19 among the elderly in care homes.

To protect front line workers in elderly care homes against infection and transmission of COVID-19

To ensure elderly people have dignity, maintain their health and mental well-being as a result of COVID-19 Pandemic

To network with and support 20 local elderly care homes to provide much needed PPE to the elderly residents and their front line care workers.

Delivery of project and marketing and tutorial materials in the community and other care homes to encourage care homes to subscribe to the service, or express their interest, and referrals of elderly people living in isolation in their own homes.

To minimise isolation of vulnerable elderly people who are confined to their homes since the start of the COVID-19 pandemic; allowing them to engage safely within their community, by using the PPE provided.

To produce online PPE making workshops / tutorials; which will be made available for vulnerable elderly people and their front line carers. These will be held over Zoom, Microsoft Teams, Skype or Whatsapp video calls. The tutorial will be led by volunteers providing instructions on how to make linen face masks.
